I have several different breeds of adults up for adoption. Some of these are males but most are females. They may be retired or maybe they have been spayed in the best interest of the female. These girls can range from 3 to 10 years old. I don't breed any females after six years of age so some of these girls have been just hanging around.
Due to the fact that I need the extra room, I will be adopting them out to good homes. You must understand that these have been kennel dogs and even though they have been very socialized, know their names, they are not house broken. These are all smaller breed dogs so I'm not adopting them out to anyone who won't take the time to potty train them. They cannot be left outdoors in the heat or the bitter cold. They can all learn how to potty outside. The saying that "you can't teach a old dog new tricks" is not true when it comes to potty training. They can learn just like a puppy can. It takes the same methods with a older dog as with a puppy. Patience and persistence. Those are the two most important factors of potty trainning. NEVER, NEVER hit, smack or even yell at the dog for making a mistake in the house. If you do that you won't get them potty trained just scared to death of you. Also, I might mention that it'll do no good at all, dog or puppy, to rub his nose in it. Thats just plain DISGUSTING!!
Some of my girls are place at no charge, I just want very good homes for them. And some of the younger ones I would like to re-coup my vet fees for spaying, medical, dental in which I have paid. All of these dogs are in excellent health or I wouldn't under any circumstances adopt them out to anyone. Anyone who would like to have a vet check at my vet before the adoption ( at your expense) is more that welcome to do that. A refund will be propmtly granted if any of the dogs I adopt out have any medical issues according to MY vet.
I will be placing pictures of adoptable dogs soon. If you want to see any of them in person you are welcome to call and set up an appointment to do that. Any of the adults that I adopt out are local (Missouri / Illinois) only. No shipping!!
Breeder reserves the right to reject any adoption.
